And I'm going to talk very much about the importance of decision making in the key of every aspect of our life and how it can change. Every single thing which we think is a negative is causing us upset or disharmony or bringing us down. We can change that into a positive just by the power of decisions. One of the most important decisions we all make, and we're making it right now you're making it I'm making it right now, as we speak. We're making it all day long, but the most important decision that we are all doing every single day What is it is a decision about what we choose to focus on where focus goes, energy flows, where focus goes, energy flows. Tony Robbins says that and it's the most amazing, powerful phrase, please, please write this down.
Put it on a poster, put it on your fridge put on a post it note, put it on your fridge, put it on your bathroom cabinet. Remember where energy goes. Where focus goes sorry, as you can tell I'm doing this unscripted. I always am speaking from the heart I speak unscripted. This is purely from my heart in my head and based on everything that I've been through, in my time on this planet where focus goes, energy flows, and one of the most important decisions we're all making every single day is what we choose to focus on, for example, is what we're focusing on lack what's missing what's wrong in our lives. past mistakes, things gone wrong. Relationships gone wrong. I coulda, woulda, shoulda things that didn't work out the way they should have worked out

I could have I would have I shouldn't things that didn't work out the way they should have worked out. We had certain expectations. And because we didn't meet those expectations, we're beating ourselves up unnecessarily as if we had all the answers from day one, as if someone gave us a guide book. Absolutely. These kinds of decisions will affect your conditions. Are we spending too much time watching negative media influences? Are we spending too much time watching the news or reading about deaths around the world? Or tragedies or disasters? Are we spending too much time watching pardon me? CNN BBC Sky News. Stuff that's making us feel less than worthy stuff that's making us feel inadequate stuff that's making us feel that we don't matter. Absolutely. You need to be conscious of those things. And once you become conscious of those things, you will start to change the direction of your focus again remember, where focus goes energy flows. How do you want to spend your energy when you not rather spend it on building yourself up on building your self esteem on getting exercise on boosting your self worth on doing some?
On getting exercise on boosting your self worth on doing something that makes you laugh on doing something that fills your heart with joy on doing something that makes you feel appreciated and valued. Whether it's baking a cake, whether it's gardening, whether it's building something, whether it's reading, whether it's creating a course whether it's talking to a video like I'm talking to you right now showing what's inside me. I spent, by the way, Hands up, hands up, hands up. I was guilty of this for a good majority of my life. I thought I was the victim. By the way. What happened to me happened to me, I thought the way I interpreted it was the only way of interpreting it. I saw every bad thing as I took it very personally I thought why me why me? You know I'm not good. enough reasonable workout, every job rejection.
Work out every job rejection every interview rejection, every relationship and breakdown everything. A flat tire even you know
everything flat tire even, you know, breaking down on a flat battery. I used to take it really personally. That classic case of the thing that happened to all of us a road rage. When someone cuts us up, we take it personally we get all upset about it. Never pausing once to think that maybe that other person is in an emergency in a hurry in a bad place mentally. So I realised that three four years ago that I was viewing all these things from a completely completely semi price. My side changing my focus to what have I got what gives us life given me what should I be grateful for what should I be appreciating all the lovely things
whatsoever be grateful for what should I be appreciating all the lovely things around me all the things that people do for me nice things. This cost me in relationships i There's a great quote the language of love. Sometimes people express their love for you in different ways to what you're used to receiving. Some people are material some people are tactile, some people do it verbally. Some people show it through cooking. You know it's well known moms love to cook for their kids and they express their love through their cooking and you know they'll make a cake for their for their partner with their loved one. I was in a relationship where the way that my ex was communicating her love for me was different to the way I communicate my love for her. And it was getting mixed up and I wasn't receiving what she was trying to give. So I was always focusing on what was missing. There. How come she's not doing it that way. How come she's not doing this? How come she's not doing that? Well, in her mind. She was doing it in a way that she thought she was expressing her love or kindness and warmth towards me. And it got lost in translation and I regret that so much. But I was so busy. The point I'm making is I was so busy focusing on what's missing. Instead of what was there. What was lacking, instead of the abundance of what was there. The love. I was missing out on the love and I was focusing on what I thought was the absence of love. Moments time precious time lost because I wasn't appreciating I was focusing on the wrong things. I was focusing on. Negative luck missing. So what are you focusing on at the moment? And where is your energy going? If it's going towards something that's not serving you, if it's going towards something that's bringing you down, if it's going towards something that's making you feel less than if it's dangerous about something that's bringing your health into question, if it's affecting your mental health if you're scrolling too much I heard the other day I heard this woman say she spent six hours a day on Tiktok six hours a day. She must have the strongest scrolling muscle on the planet first of all, but just imagine and she's saying she was addicted to it. She admitted it she was addicted to it and it was all about almost fear porn. It was like stuff that was sensationalised disasters tragedies things going wrong and what what what? What could that be doing for her mental health and self esteem? A sense of well being? It was it was an eye opener for me. Then I heard about this other college professor college professor who also became addicted to Tik Tok. He was addicted to building his audience. He was addicted to the numbers. He was addicted to the number of likes he was getting. He was so so addicted. It almost cost him his marriage because he would come home from work. First thing he would do is go into the dining table, flip the laptop open and go straight on tick tock. He spent hours on hours, hours, hours hours every single day. He said it cost it almost cost him his marriage. And it cost him precious time with his kids is talking about here and that was nice, very honest about it. He remembers now he's Walters used to try and talk to him and he would ignore them. He was totally fixated on tick tock and brute boosting his audience numbers. And again, his focus was entirely on that and it cost him so much. So what are you focusing on? And how is it serving you? How is it serving? You make an audit, take an audit, sorry. Write it down. What are you focusing on? The first thing you do when you get up? Where's your focus? Is it on your day is on your well being? Are you meditating? Are you focusing on your breathing? Are you focusing on the plan for the day? Are you focusing on your phone? Or are you focusing on putting the radio on listen to more disasters going on around the world so?

if you focus on that power when it asked you to focus on your focus, but if you focus on that and start correcting course correcting one degree difference every day when you notice yourself doing it when you notice yourself drifting when you find yourself getting sucked into that vortex that black hole. Direct yourself. Focus on the goodness focus on the positive focus on the light focus on nature. Focus on giving focus on being warm and blue. And love and positivity and all things wonderful. And that will serve you chart stop that that will slowly start to change your life you will start to see all the wonderful things around us. All the wonderful things around you whether it's the warmth of a animal going past a cat or a dog or plant or birds chirping. Or you know what I really really missed you on COVID was people and I went into a shopping centre the other day and it felt so good just to see people doing normal stuff and I just stood there I just watched you know moms with their kids, people shopping, carrying the bags, conversations and it felt so nice and I just took a moment to this. I said just stop and take it in take it in, take it out. This is humanity. This is life. This is joy. This is normal stuff. This is people going about their business. This is energy. This is what we do. This is what we've missed so long during lockdown. And that changed my mood completely. I was just like, Oh, I'm having a great day here. I'm having a great day. It's simple. It sounds boring. Some of you may be rolling your eyes thinking Are you nuts. Have you taken leave with your senses? No, I've just reconfigured my senses. Yeah, whatever your conditions are, whatever your conditions are. Make that decision and start focusing on where you want to focus where you want your energy. Maybe you have to problem solve. Maybe you have to find a solution. Maybe you have seen a goodness in a situation. Maybe you need to make changes in your life. Maybe you need to drop some people who are not serving you. Maybe you need to change careers. Maybe you need to have a conversation with yourself. But the most important decision is Scott despite the conditions, the most important decisions is what you choose to focus on. That's my message to you today. It has to be positive. We're not going to let conditions affect our focus. We're going to choose to control our focus and our energy and use it to serve us be the thermostat not the thermometer be the thermostat, not the thermometer set your temperature set your temperature every single morning when you get up desired to MIT.
To focus on those things which serve you which
focus on those things which serve you with solve problems which move the needle which help your life which make you a better person, make you a happier person, make you a healthier person, make your wealthier person make you a joy to be around and your life will change forever.
